Dr. Sandra Taylor

MD FACS
General Surgery

For Dr. Sandra Taylor, home means Nevada, where she was born and raised and where she learned to love the smell of sage in the high desert mornings. Growing up, her winter weekends were spent on Mount Rose going through the Sky Tavern Junior Ski Program and summer days were spent in the waters of Tahoe until her lips were blue and she was forced out of the lake by her parents. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology at George Fox College in Oregon where she also ran cross-country and track on an athletic scholarship. She studied medicine at the University of Colorado and completed residency training in general surgery at UC-Davis Medical Center. During this time she also received a Master’s degree in Tropical Medicine and International Health in London.

Dr. Taylor is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She enjoys travel and has participated in several surgical trips abroad. She is an avid trail runner and skier, but enjoys almost any outdoor activity in the Sierras.
